CLUEsters developed their invention poems by pretending they were inventions. Each
CLUEster brainstormed for different inventions, then chose one they would like to be. They
thought of characteristics of themselves as inventions as well as how the world would be
different without them. They used their vivid imaginations, dictionaries, and thesauruses to
assist them in brainstorming for lots of creative ideas. Fluency, flexibility, and originality
became evident as each line described and explained important roles of interesting
inventions!
